Vanessa completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree at the University of South Australia in 2012, before going on to study a Masters of Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy through LaTrobe University, graduating in 2021.
She is a Titled APA Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist.

Vanessa’s professional experience is primarily within sports medicine practices, including a recent contract with the Queensland Academy of Sport. She joins the team at The Body Refinery with a breadth of experience across numerous sporting codes across the lifespan, however, her passion lies with running-specific injuries and rehabilitation.

Vanessa also specializes in Children and Adolescent Physiotherapy, focusing on optimal techniques and training schedules for young athletes entering development pathways. She has traveled extensively with this age group, both nationally and internationally.

Vanessa is passionate about working with clients to achieve their goals, through education, self-management, manual therapy, dry needling, exercise prescription and training modifications.

Vanessa is highly skilled in completing a thorough assessment to determine the most appropriate evidence-based management plan.

She also strives to inspire recreational athletes to continue to remain active across their lifespan, whilst maintaining enjoyment and minimising their risk of injury.

Vanessa also brings experience leading Pilates-based and group exercise rehabilitation classes.

An eager athlete herself, Vanessa is a competitive road runner, and also enjoys swimming, playing
tennis and dance.
